I'd say NOx is.
Nitrogen oxides, or NOx, is the generic term for a group of highly reactive gases, all of which contain nitrogen and oxygen in varying amounts. Many of the nitrogen oxides are colorless and odorless. However, one common pollutant, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) along with particles in the air can often be seen as a reddish-brown layer over many urban areas. Nitrogen oxides form when fuel is burned at high temperatures, as in a combustion process. The primary sources of NOx are motor vehicles, electric utilities, and other industrial, commercial, and residential sources that burn fuels.

NOx is more reactive and isn't taken in by plants like CO2. CO2 is recycled by living organisms so i would say its not quite as bad. The combination of the two is what is really bad. They react to create carbon chains and O3 (ozone) in the lower level of the atmosphere where we don't want it.

Carbon dioxide is more harmful since it is a biproduct of us breathing, it competes with our oxygen intake. Dentist use NOx on people all of the time.

NOx are more harmful. Some of them are carcenogen. Only N2O - laughing gas - isn't harmful. CO2 in low concentrations isn'n harmful at all - you have in your lungs.

Well, in one sense, carbon dioxide is less harmful since it will put out fires. In another sense, nitrous-oxide is less harmful cause it's just "laughing gas" and CO2 will kill you if that's all you are allowed to breathe in. So, it depends upon what you mean by harmful.

i dont know but i have smelt nitrogen dioxide (a reddish brown gas) during practicals and nothing happened to me . and nitrous oxide N2O ................its laughing gas so i dont think any harm done and there is just one left then that i really dont know about NO . so that might be the only one harmful . but CO2 is not that harmful to .there are only 3 nitrogen oxides (NO , N2O , NO2)
