Cramps. Like period cramps but not severe. From about 2 weeks before my period was due and carried on right through the first trimester. Still get them now occasionally (24 weeks).
Doctor said they are quite normal and are a sign of your uterus expanding and growing and ligaments stretching. Only if they are severe and accompanied with bleeding do you need to worry.
I also had a really bad stomach ache a few times, like I'd eaten something bad. Have no idea what that was - it went away pretty quickly.
Also had really bad nausea 24/7 until week 14.

If you are in your fifth week, you might not be able to stop yawning long enough to read this! Sleeping in a jog bra can help the breast soreness. Many of your symptoms are the same as last week. Some women may also get headaches from the rise in hormones.
There are also a lot of women who will have none of these symptoms. They will sail through early pregnancy without vomiting or being light headed. For a lot of women this can be normal as well. Do not panic if you do not have pregnancy symptoms, although you should contact your care provider if you suddenly lose your pregnancy symptoms.

Ya shouldn't get many aches and pains in the first 5 wks but some people do. Many of the symptoms are similar to your period. I think you need to get a pregnancy test or go to your doctor. The doc can not tell any one or you can tell on him.

Everybody is different the aches and pains that you get a lot of other people will not get and vice versa. My own experience of early symptoms are feelings of nausea anytime of the day, hunger pangs, tender breasts, a distinct going off particular food/drinks and I had what you would call period type discomfort.
Do not panic if you are getting any different type of symptoms we all differ, but do visit your doctor and get yourself checked out if you feel uncertain or uneasy about any of your symptoms you need to put your mind at rest. Good luck and take care

you do occasionally get a period type ache at first, dont worry about rushing into the doctors, the fact that you are not worried enought to actually be rushing in means that you know yourself its not serious... just give your midwife or doctor a call and get advice over the phone
with both my pregnancies at around 4-6 weeks i got a period type pain and some spotting of blood, and it was completely normal it was something to do with the baby either attaching itself to my womb lining or coming away from it...cant remember which!! or i think it was the yolk sac.. anyway everything was fine!!

You're not alone...there is a 20% chance of getting pregnant even on the pill, even if you never miss. That's one in 5. You're not crazy or obsessed; but yes, there are unfortunately some people who just like to give negative, unhelpful or "funny" (not) answers.
The only surefire contraception is not to have sex ever.

From about 5-6 weeks the most common things tend to be sore or very tender breasts, hypersensitive nipples and some cramping (not unlike period pains).

i felt as if my muscles were tighttening in my stomach, i also had a bit of period type pain, was constantly worried till i was 12 weeks, but i have two healthy boys. don't worry, you need to make an appointment with your community midwife, not your doctor really, but your doctor can offer advice. the midwife should be attached to your doctor's surgery. try to relax and go about your normal daily life, hope all goes well, and don't be afraid to ask your midwife questions even if you think they are a bit silly. ggod luck i'll be thinking of you xxxxxx
