No. When you sleep, your brain waves fall into different frequency regions, usually referred to the alpha, beta, and gamma phases. People don't dream unless they are in the gamma phase. The only exception that I have heard of was this one guy who slept in the gamma phase, but didn't dream since he had a piece of metal lodged in his head.

It's not impossible... unless you always remember what you've dreamed about last night, no matter how tired you were before you even rested. You probably haven't experienced how it's like to be totally blacked out in sleep -- like, just nothing... you're asleep and everything is black until the next morning when you wake up.

Yes.Humans dream every night.Just sometimes you don't remember the dream.Another interesting fact I just found out is that when you are having nightmares your body becomes paralyzed so you cannot toss and turn during nightmares. That is why when you have nightmares sometimes it is very hard to wake yourself.

You only dream during R.E.M. Since R.E.M. only happens during deep sleep you can avoid dreaming by only sleeping for an hour or two at a time, but I wouldn't recommend it.
