what does "bump" mean in reference to forums (like Totse.com)?

Ive seen it used a few times in several threads.

I'm pretty sure it means posting a new reply to a thread in order to move it back to the top of the thread list.

It means someone is bumping the prior post by creating a new post (i.e. drawing attention to the topic thread)

when you reply to a thread it is "bumped" back to the top of the forum. this allows certian topics to stay at the top and veiwed more often
