Apple has far less support than windows PCs.

Apple is stable but they have no browsing standard so different browsers might not work everywhere you need.

Windows is subject to spyware and viruses but this can be combatted by carefull internet access and regular scans.

Yes you should do that for a mac too.

As for the better one? How savvy are you?? The mac will take more time to learn while the windows PC has far more resources.

My answer?? Pick one based upon your computer knowlege. What do you need to learn about them?

Apple definately. I have used a Mac since 1995, and I will never switch to PC. Both platforms are better at different things. For example, Macs are very good with all kinds of media. PCs are more for the business environment, but you can still use a Mac for that stuff too. Go for the Mac. You'll be happy you did. Good luck!

I just switched to Mac a few months ago and let me tell you it's been an absolute pleasure to be free from all the problems that come along with a pc. You can say good by to pop-up ads, freezes, rebooting...the list goes on and on. So user friendly...I took it out of the box and was up and running. I hear the new models with Intel are faster than fast.

PC!!! Especially when Windows Vista is coming out. I really don't need to give reasons. Wait until early 2007 and see for yourself. It will change the way you use your computer!!! Check this out: www.microsoft.com/windowsvista
