First of all I doubt myself when I find myself inclined to think that I have failed. I ask myself - do I have right to declare this to be a failure? I know that I do not know much, as I am constantly learning and improving. I therefore do not try to be too quick and judgmental. I like to take some time until I am able to see around the areas of my immediate focus - we get tunnel vision when intense things happen in front of us.
Then I also see that any failure is never total failure – far from it. As long as we are there to feel it a failure is always partial. Our mind tends to exaggerate all situations negative – this is a natural alarm system. I realise that there are area not affected whatsoever by something that I have experienced a failure. I identify those areas first for this is where I will be standing when I will try to realistically ascertain any possible loss.
All failures and sense of failure are strictly time-bound. Things start to look better as time passes. Incidents lose their relevance and feelings mellow into gentle wise memories. Then there are always lessons to be learnt - things that make us wiser and better. All losses when considered with courage and dignity do bring with them an enhanced sense of personal worth and moral values. We realise that that we have depths in thoughts, our mind is more tolerant towards fellow humans and is in a state of acceptance of powers higher than our knowledge and understanding, and their wisdom.

Feeling of 'Stop the World I want to get off'
Then I get bitter and twisted, blame others for my failure, then eventually think myself very stupid and not worth a light. Finally I accept that it was my own fault and that I must work harder to achieve my goals.
Arriving at this point has been difficult, so then it dawns on me I must be a nightmare to live with, so it's a case of picking myself up and starting all over again, before I become a total pain in the bum.
Then there is a saying ' What's for you will not go by you'. But that's just me making an excuse for my failure. But life is far too short to hold a post morten and anyway we learn from our mistakes! Don't we?
Education, education, education. Here endeth the first lesson.

Think about what went wrong to cause the failure and try to learn something from it, so that it isn't just a negative experience. Failure is disappointing, but it also can be an opportunity to learn.

Failure is the ladder to success. Climb from the bottom run till you reach the top slowly but surely. You will get there in the end.Just think there are so many other people on the bottom rung and when you are on the second rung you can turn back and see that you are steadily getting where you want to me. Be positive and you will be able to climb so don't worry too much

Look for the lesson, every failure holds with it the seed for an equivalent success. Success is fostered in a persistence that does not recognize failure.

I just basically accept the failure that I have done and try to move on. If we just stick to the past and never look forward, we can never be able to fully live our lives. Besides, failure is one experience that teaches you to strive harder for the things you want.

Whine and pout about it for a day or two while no one is looking, try to figure out where I overextended myself or made mistakes so I can bulletproof myself and avoid that error in the future
and set new, realistic goals that can be met so the failure gets old and tired and unimportant and isn't worth whining about anymore.

hey, don't feel so bad. practice makes perfect. people fail sometimes. and we just have to live with it. learn from the mistake and move on. see it as another opportunity to improve yourself. don't be too harsh on yourself. learn to love yourself for who you are, that we can't be a jack-of-all-trades. smile up. there now. feel any better? and hey, you set the standards for yourself. usually people don't care much about what you do or what happens to you. they wouldn't really care much. they'll forget about it. maybe close friends will, but not as intensely as you do. so just believe in yourself, ok? and be what you want to be. pick yourself up, dust the dirt off, and let's continue the journey, shall we?
and about the dealing? well, have a little bit of fun. do what you want. do you like camping? watching movies? eating? whatever you like, do it. reward yourself for realizing your mistake. and accept your mistake. we can't change the past. but we can learn from it.
i remember a quote, it might be a little gender specific, but hey, the meaning applies to both genders. it's from Mulan. "a flower that blooms in adversity, is the rarest and most beautiful of all." - emperor. now don't let the failure hinder your blooming. (i know it might sound girly but what the heck!). lol.
