Raccoons
Procyonidae, these mammals recieved the common name washing rats from french name for them "Ratons Laveur" which means washing rats.
The reason they always appear to be washing their paws, is because they are so sensitive. The paws are a raccoon's claim to fame. They taste, feel, manipulate and communicate with their paws. If they were dirty, then the sensory surfaces on the paws would not function very well, this means that they have to be cleaned often.
