No, real silver will not leave a discoloration on your skin. That discoloration is caused by either the steel or copper or combination of different metals that they put under the silver plating.

No, it's not the silver that does that, it's the amount of silver the rings have. If the ring is silver plated, then it's just a fake ring painted with silver. Those will definately cause that green discoloration. The best thing to do is to buy good quality silver. I love Tiffany's silver. It's the best! And it's not plated.

i don't think real silver makes such rings. It must be plated copper or brass. when it comes in contact with acid, (say lemon or buttermilk) it starts to corrode and forms green colouration.

REAL silver doesn't. It's that cheap fake s.h.i.t that turns your fingers colors. Unless you are allergic to silver, but I think that would turn your finger red, maybe swollen...not green

It is not suppose to, but if it does, it means you have a shortage in iron.
