Ok, I did mean to ask a larger question about our fascination with commercial hits rather than artistic diversity... in case anyone was confused that I was quizzing people about where those lyrics came from.

i htink it's because society is so absorbed in the NEW things that they forget about things that are still good and old. i personally think that older songs are better because they don't get played as often. the newer ones get over-played and then no one likes them anymore.

Every time I get in my car, 3 different stations are playing either Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado, some Rihanna song, or that rap song about "it's going down" or whatever. I want to shoot myself in the head every time I hear any of these. Just goes to show that we've become completely unoriginal and brainwashed, and we've lost all sense of taste in music and what qualifies as musical talent. When I listen to music (i.e. rock), I listen to chord progressions, vocals, instrumentation, harmony, melody, bass line, beat, meter, key, and lots of other stuff. Apparently I'm the only one who cares about that stuff.

well, pretty much like the situation i have, many flash movies made by fans has linkin park as soundtrack.... man! Fu...! those are extrimily thrilled. I know lots of people likes most people does..... i call it.... collective likes.... most of the cases kids and idiots
