It becasue "pimps" are supposed to have lots of money and hawt chicks around them. In reality most pimps are ugly, kinf of poor, and the woman they sell are not all that attractive. So the next time some says they are a pimp ask them who their whores are and tell them that pimps are even lower than hookers becasue most of them force underage gursl to sell their bodies.

Its a slang for being cool. A true pimp is worse than a "mother" of a cat house. The mother doesn't have to go anywhere and still makes money. Either way, ones more of a boss, the other is often a violent control freak driving a bad car and sporting bad jewelry.

I don't think it's cool, and I don't know anyone that does...so apparently there is a social circle that I don't hang out with that does....I would say that the boys that think it's cool...would think so because there are girls that think it's cool...and those boys want to impress those girls...
