and there are a few out there, of a certain kind, who specialise in entrapment by sending the most gorgeous creature in the world to see if you'd betray your partner by sleeping with her....would you be a bit miffed about this?

Blimey there's a lot of assumptions out there!
I saw this on television, about fiancees checking their prospectives out, and the bosses of the pi firms were boasting that - without fail - the guys all went for the bait. ..
There was the usual moral discussion afterwards, tears and disappointments, but hey - nobody forced these guys to do anything ...

Sorry, I'm not a gentlemen, but I would like to answer the question.... personally speaking, I think women are tempting fate by doing this... I couldn't be in a relationship with someone that I didn't trust 100% with my love and life.... as soon as you lose a tiny amount of it, then as far as I'm concerned its over.
If a man (or woman) is going to cheat, then they will cheat, and there isn't anything you can do to protect yourself from it or prevent it from happening.
In my opinion hiring a decoy is just asking for trouble... if you have the suspicion that your partner will cheat, then why go to the bother and expense to prove yourself right... no need to make yourself feel wretched... just move on to someone that you can trust.
We are all human at the end of the day.... and to be tempted by a gorgeous creature would test even the most faithful of us.
Personally I think it would be a sh!tty thing to do.

I used to have a girlfriend that would accuse me of cheating on her if I was an hour or two coming home late from work. It gets old and annoying and eventually ends the relationship. As for the scenario you depict if she was anything like the girl I just described I would probably give in to the temptation having been accused of it already not really caring if she found out,

I really like the answer of 'Ellie29uk' that's exactly what I would say....
I trust myself, I trust others and I trust universe, when I was 22 yrs old, had a boyfriend who I love deeply till I gave him my vergintiy, I used to feel like 'I would like him to see the most gorgeous, attractive and sexiest girl in the world asking him to make love with her, I would like to see if he really keep his promised
But now 13 yrs past, I think that was the most crazy thing I have ever thought! How was my face and feeling at that time?...I WAS NOT A HAPPY PERSON, FULL OF FEARS
Well, I think we should rather spend money on helping the children who very poor, starving, has no education than spend on this childish things....and this is not much difference from spending money on surgery and cosmetic to keep yourself look good for your partner......these people whould never be a really happy person. :-)

Hell yeah I'd be Miffed! It shows she doesnt trust you. Does she have reason is the ?? If so, you were being stupid. Anything that seems too good to for real should raise some concerns. If your a 5 and shes an aggressive 10 LOOKOUT!!!!

It's totally immoral to make money out of breaking up marriages. A lot of men who wouldn't normally cheat will eventually give in to these persistant women who flatter their egos, but real life isn't like that.

Catching hims one thing, entrapments another.
Guys do kinda live in the moment, i'm not endorsing cheating but it's a little unfair

well either she's completely out of her mind and the psychotic type, or you've given her a reason not to trust you. If she's nuts, then you have every reason to be pist. If she has legitimate concern, well the, my dear, I'm afraid you have to lie in the bed you made. Trust doesn't grow on trees!

Hey, if someone goes fishing and the man bites, it's his own fault. It's not like they drugged him and forced him to hit on/sleep with her.
FFS...What happened to personal responsibility??? If the woman has to hire someone to check up, then she doesn't trust him already for some reason and needs to know for sure. If he bites, she knows!!! End of story.

Yes I would as it would mean there was no trust and a relationship needs trust to survive.
