regarding my earlier question... 1 I'm not a kid, I'm an adult 2 I don't live with her or around her 3 she's screwing up her life and doesn't like my honest opinion 4 she doesn't care about me or her grandkids unless she wants someone to complain to ....... just taking a poll to see what advice people have

I think it's best to not cut off ties with family if any portion of the relationship can be good. Just try to distance yourself a little so you're not suffering because of it. Basically, maybe it won't be a perfect relationship, but do you really want to never talk to your mom anymore? Ultimately, I can't answer this for you because I don't know your situation, but I think you should think about it.

Let it go, I guess. If she is refusing to take charge of her own life and deal with her problems head on, why should you have to? I know it's hard, but sometimes you just have to let people make their own mistakes and learn from them.
