Hey you can get the newspapers for less than a dollar, check the classifieds sections and get a job. Remember it's not exactly where you may end up working but how you work, if you continue working hard enough, you will get a promotion and maybe even run the business.
Also a good idea would be to expose all the dirty little secrets of the company. I'm sure you can come up with some. But don't even try to do that if you don't have any proof 'cause you may end up getting a lawsuit to wipe your ***.The best way to do that is to threaten the boss in a polite way. For instance. Tell him:
Now that you don't have a job you have much more time on your hand and can persue a career as a freelance writer for some newspaper or the other, when you do that, tell him your first story will be :BIG COMPANIES WITH DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS: And insider look on things the boss hides fro the public. You know that should get his attention, he will definetely reconsider.
Another plan is to use a friends computer, get on one of those freebie websites and have some free stuff shipped to an address.

First, be certain you don't qualify for unemployment. Many people are mistaken about this or get refused and simply need to appeal. Check that out fully. Did you have a 401K at your job? If so, you can access the money in it on an emergency basis if you have to. Do what you can to get emergency assistance first. Go to a food bank for some food. Go to an area agency that can help with utilities. The hardest thing to get help with is rent, so try to save any actual money for that. Cancel everything non-essential. If you have a cell phone you don't need a landline. You can do without the cable and internet temporarily. You can access the internet at the library for a month or so until you get on your feet. Contact any creditors and tell them truthfully about your situation and that you do not expect it to last. Ask if you can skip a payment for a month or make a partial payment. Ask them to lower your finance charges. You never know how cooperative companies are going to be until you ask. Be polite and gracious and professional. Don't spend any money on anything recreational. You can borrow movies free at the library. Don't eat out any fast food or whatever. Cook and make meals for the week out of something economical. After you've shaved your bills down to the bare minimim and secured emergency help, focus on taking any job you can get with reasonable pay. Use all your free time to do what you can to find a good job. Register with all online job searches you can find, post your resume on the internet, register with your local job services. Don't panic and don't become consumed with negative thoughts. (You can live a very, very long time on Ramen noodles.) You will find something soon, and this will be an ugly, distant memory. Specifically where you get assistance is totally dependent on exactly where you live. If you aren't sure where to start, contact the largest church in your area. The pastor or secretary will be able to tell you what agencies in the area can offer help for what things and how you can contact them. They are very used to people coming to them in dire circumstances. Good luck to you.

I believed that if you loose you job and don't have enough money, maybe you can ask a close friend for help or go on welfare until you are able to find a job and get back on your feet. Also you can try and ask you parents for help until u get your self together or maybe your boyfriend/ girlfriend. If that don't work the best thing to do is try to apply for welfare until u can find a job. but always remember, if you can do it without being assisted from welfare do it because welfare is not alway the best alternative, but in this situation you got to do what you got to do In order to survive, there is no shame in it.

I would take any job. You can often find jobs in supermarket or cleaning and be working within a couple days. It might not be the money that you're used to but it can actually be faster than getting on assistance and about the same money. the only drawback is that it can cut into your time for applying for more professional jobs.

Sounds odd, but I was in this situation 2 years ago. Go to college. At least you can take out a loan to help get you through. You can also look for a job while you attend classes.

Go to HRA or whatever it is you have in your state and apply for emergency food stamps, see what other help they can give you (sometimes there is rental assistance) and in the meantime you got to aggrsssively look for a job, buy some water and sell it in the street or something or some oranges, batteries, whatever.

Unemployment benefits? Friends? Other family members? Take ANY job for now until you get another comparable position to what you had. I feel for you... been there myself. Don't put yourself in an unhealthy situation with your parent if you don't have to. Good luck.

There is probably a local food bank that can help you out with food. You also try the department of social services. They may be able to help you. I suggest you put in applications at all the retail stores in your area. One of the should hire you.
