I just finished this movie! Love it! But I didnt like a lot of the ending, because for me, Susan is in love with the Death, not with the guy he met in the cafeteria...And in the end, I get the feeling they are tryingt to make us believe she never falls in love with the Death, instead she is in love always with the guy.

So, please, can you tell me your opinion! Sorry if it is an stupid question, but I would like to know...

Yes, I agree with you. There seems to be a sense of disappointment on Susan's face when she realizes that the person that she fell in love with is gone. However, she had chemistry with the guy she met before "death" took him over.

However, I feel the best part of the movie is the obvious "dummy" that gets hit by not one, but two cars. Also, why would death choose a body that had been hit by cars... and then return the owner to the body after he was done with it...

must admit to have been slightly hesistant when I first heard about Meet Joe Black because of the subject matter and its length, however I found this film to be superb.

The acting was believable, the cinematography of the film was well thought out and extremely picturesque. The soundtrack by Thomas Newman (the Shawshank Redemption) went from chilling to the most beautiful melodies that I have ever heard (giving, in my humble opinion, any classical composer a run for their money), adding an extra depth to this film.

There are no in-betweens in this film: you WILL either love or hate this film. However, I can say that this film is one of the most uplifting and life affirming movies that I have ever seen. It left me both moved and confident that the world was not such a bad place after all. Just like the Shawshank Redemption told us that hope is not a bad thing, so Meet Joe Black tells us that indeed love can conquer all better than Titanic ever could.

I got the feeling the soul of the guy in the cafe came back. She asked where have you been and he said I don't know. It's been a couple of years since I saw it but that's the way I took it. That was a great movie, loved the music at the end.

Not at all, her heart was and always with the guy she bumped into at the café.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, it was his time to "go" *that scene was gruesome to say the least*
At the end, Death probably realised that some things just can't be taken away/ changed like love and fate so he (Death) "brought" the guy back.
The part where Brad attempted to speak Jamaican was just plain weird & hilarious, lol!

maybe it was one of those things where she is to be taught not to fear death. she didnt fear death when she had sex with him and she was always in love with the physical form of the guy who got hit by the car(s).
so when "death " left the party and took her dad with him, she knew her dad would be safe and even happier than if he had lived.
