the first of the series did include some real footages. the sequels that follows are sensationalized fakes since some film makers found that they can make lots of money playing with people's minds like that. (i guess some people watch it to exorcise the "fear" of death. that's why you get websites like ogrish.com. I can't bring myself to watch stuffs like that.)

I saw one. It was a filthy experience and I wish I could erase it. It was real stuff. DO NOT watch it. You'll be sorry.
This is from someone who loves horror movies. I have a high gore threshold, I can take a lot. But after watching Faces 1, I realized that I simply lack sadism. I don't enjoy watching the tortured and the dying. For me, there is a huge difference between the story a movie tells, however violent, and human death being mocked by the slime who make these films.
If you ever watch one, remember that I warned you. It will be in your mind for many years after.

Real. I agree it's mostly about money from the distributor's point of view but I also think people want to be able to stare death in the face. It's the same reason people ride roller coasters. It's a kick that reminds us we're mortal.

oh yes, they are quite real...and equally quite disturbing. i don't think the videos were all meant to be taken for the sake of watching something horrific. one video is of a guy that is sky diving. unfortunately, he lands right in the middle of a crocodille farm. it's like those extreme video shows, but much more graphic.

my understanding is that they are real. And people videotape stuff like that because it's a fallen world and there's a bunch of people that are intrigued by that. Besides, if it makes money, isn't that the bottom line......forget morality, it's all about the cash flow.

I doubt that i might want to, i like the actual undeniable reality that i'll proceed to be nameless and that i'd also be answering questions from those that i for my area recognize without understanding it truly is them in case you recognize what I mean!!
