Firstly, do you believe in such things?

Secondly, if yes, could you give a list of types / well known ones?

I know most of the saints and such. What's interested me is, I've heard of some sort of unspoken war. Between both beings. With generals and all other ranks. It may not be so literal, but exist nonetheless.

Lastly, anyone heard of this war?

Yes I believe in demons and angels. As an Occultist is it simply an understanding. I could make a monsterous list of both but instead I will name a few of the groups:
Nephilim
Grigori

As far as the war goes I am not able to say much. If you wish to know more you can reach me on yahoo instant messenger or in email.

Hails to the truth,
Silence

ps... Wiki those groups and you will find all the info you want.

Firstly, I do believe in demons and angles.
Secondly, the only ranks of demons and angles that I can think of are the ark angles Namely Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer(before he fell and became Satan) the Guardian angles which every person on earth has one, and the regular angles(don't ask me what the difference is cause I don't know). Now as for the war we all know Lucifer fell and became Satan whereas Gabriel and Michael stayed with God. But what you may not know is that Lucifer was called the most beautiful of the angles before he fell which MIGHT translate into also being the most powerful of the angles. And when he did fall it is said and I quote "a third of the stars fell from the sky" which is taken to mean that 1/3 of the angles followed Satan. Now I’m not sure about the details of the war itself but I do know that the angel Michael was the "General" of the angels and of course Satan lead the demons, and there was a battle in heaven and at the end the demons were pushed back into hell. Anything else you might try reading the book of revelation in the bible or asking a priest. This subject has always been very intriguing for me so I hope you find out the answers you were looking for.

Yes, I believe that both Angels and demons exist.

"Saints" are not angels, except in a very broad usage of the word. Saints are people who lived and died in God's friendship and are now in Heaven with God.

Angels exist in nine Choirs or ranks from the Seraphim to the Angel. Michael was an Archangel and Lucifer was probably a Principality or a higher Power. Other Angel ranks are: Cherubim, Domination, Thrones, and I forget one.

The war you speak of is what caused the Fallen Angels to be exiled from Heaven and become known as 'demons,' rather than angels. I am not sure how demons are ranked. I expect that they still belong to whatever rank they were before falling.

Okay, got a little time and I looked up the entire Choir of Angels. I'd forgotten the "Virtue," how foolish of me! Anyway, here they are in order of rank from highest to lowest:

1. Seraphim
2. Cherubim
3. Thrones
4. Dominions
5. Virtues
6. Powers
7. Principalities
8. Archangels
9. Angels (Regular)

A good number of demons are listed in the Goetia, said to be the demons summoned by Solomon to build his temple. A list of them is here: http://www.deliriumsrealm.com/delirium/demon_goetia.asp The actual Goetia, which is not difficult to locate online (hermetics.org has it, I believe, and is available in book form in A.E.Waite's Book of Black Magic, easily available at bookstores and online) lists the rankings of each of the demons listed therein; most of the rankings are listed on that site as well.

Milton's Paradise Lost also names quite a few, though many overlap. The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey also lists a good number, though in that context they're used as names and/or aspects of Satan.

ETA: Angels also. Dig around through the Qabbalah section on hermetics.org, and also check out the writings of John Dee on there (he was a 16th-century philosopher who spoke to angles and learned their languages, which is called Enochian).

The only angels i know of are Gabriel and the devil. demons are fallen angels.

and yes there is a spiritual war going on, and it is happening within every human soul. Whether we keep Jesus, or reject Jesus and follow the enemy.

*note* if you reject Christ you are Satan's.

Google spheres, rods and orbs. you could attempt Youtube to boot. Do you've self assurance in them or not? in case you could seize them in digital cameras and video, do they exist? flow to Youtube and seek for for "unidentified flying merchandise in Jerusalem, June 2011" and attempt to describe that. it truly is the question.
