What is it about your own life that is so bad, that makes you want to cling to his? Just reading your question makes me want to run in the opposite direction. Five years of this? Honey, this isn't love, it's an addiction. Love is allowing the people in the relationship to be themselves, maintain their individual identity, or simpley giving them space to breathe. You act as though he's "air" to you and you can't live without him. You also come across as super needy. I don't know what happened in your lifetime to make you this way, but no relationship can survive under these circumstances. If you don't want to lose him, loosen the grip on the leash, he's not a pet you can keep, he's a person. Wouldn't you rather him be with you because he's made the choice to? Right now it sounds as though he's with you because he's being forced into it. You need to lighten up a little.

perhaps you could stop being so jealous..or maybe this is an indication that he no longer wants to be with you.

you need something to do with your time and energy instead of focusing it all on him.
