Sleep is the most important thing. Conan O'brian's makeup artist uses preparation h to control swelling under his eyes. Drink more water. Another thing is to take a spoon that has been chilled and put it over your eye. Just don't freeze it. This action will also reduce redness in your eyes. If this does not work you can try using concealer. I use yellow when my circles are blue. Make sure not to use a lot of pressure as this skin is very sensitive and thin.

There are a few options of home remedy out there depending on the home as to what you might have readily available. I hope you find some relief.. Here are some things that have worked for me for dark under eye circles.. Arnica Gel used for sore muscle pain can also work for undereye cream.. Just thin it with water as a light topical application to be applied in the evening. Other options.. involve found products round the house and "restful meditation" while they work their magic. (i.e. do this while you chill out to your favorite music to let the home remedy do it's work). Put these remedies on the affected areas: 1. Slice of raw potato on each affected area. OR 2. Poultice of rosewater, mint leaves and a bit of honey- warm the rosewater so the honey and mint create a sort of week tea, stir, and cool. THEN apply the mixture to the affected areas OR consider if you can stand the cold, freezing this mixture and applying the cool therapy for the double punch of cooling herbal cure. OR 3. Chamomile, Mint, or Green Tea bags that have been used to make a cup of tea- squeeze out the excess liquid, chill in the fridge and apply them (This is my favorite home remedy as it is easiest to do in my home).

Sleep, drink plenty of water, place cool cucumbers on your eyes, find a good eye cream (there are several for dark circles) You may also want to try a yellow tinted concealer. Depending on your skin, you may need a liquid version or the stick version. You can also try the "smokey eye look" to try to hide some of the circles. You may also want to draw attention to another part of your face (teeth, lips, hair,)!

From reading lots of beauty magazines and books the best home remedy seems to be the cucumber slices on you eyes. Although another one is to do with used tea bags, store once used and then place on eyes, this also helps puffiness.

soak cotton pads with witch hazel and refrigerate them. When they are chilled, apply them to your eyes and rest. Use a concealing makeup to cover your circles if needed. Go to a makeup counter and get a good match; you might have to blend a couple of colors to match.

I use Lemon-Aid by Benefit. It's not too expensive, lasts a long time, and it's not cakey like some of the cheaper yellow sticks.
