Kissing someone passionately gives room for sex. Therefore Passionate kissing is more intimate than having sex.

i think kissing someone passionately is more intimate closing your eyes and just feeling the person close to you you could have sex and not even kiss

....kiss the neck and earlobes...I have kissed extremely passionately, sucked lips, put my tongue under lips, tongue kissed deeply and changing speeds. Meanwhile, hugging passionately and rubbing the persons' rear ends, shoulders, etc. That is, only if the person has good mouth hygiene.
However, intercourse done creatively on top of all the lip serive is a real high.

Both generally go hand in hand...Passionate kissing leads sex, and if you are already having sex to begin with...the passionate kissing comes naturally anyhow...I honestly don't see how it could be any other way...
