Since when?

It was religious fanatics who murdered scientists for ages to wipe out the truth. Name ONE scientific institution who murdered any religious people for their beliefs.

Religions are the biggest murderers and repressors of truth in world history - both then and now. Where religion rules least, the quality of life is superior to any places where religious psychopaths rule.

Here are a few typical examples of religious psychopathology in its grandest glory:

"Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed. Faith must trample underfoot all reason, sense, and understanding, and whatever it sees must be put out of sight and ... know nothing but the word of God."

"There is on earth among all dangers no more dangerous thing than a richly endowed and adroit reason... Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed."

[Martin Luther]

"The earth is flat. Whoever claims it is round is an atheist deserving of punishment."

Yousef M. Ibrahim, "Muslim Edicts take on New Force",
The New York Times, February 12, 1995, p. A-14.

They had their chance and blew it.

Intelligent people wouldn't post in religious categories, why do they pollute ours with their superstitious disproven nonsense?

Religion is the number one symptom of mental illness worldwide. Their words and actions prove it beyond all doubt.

The misery, repression of truth, suffering and death caused by religions infinitely outweigh any visible benefits.

It is because scientists always try to control their experiments. Assumptions are done only if the factors don't affect the experiment significantly. Religion has been with us for so long and ideas and human thinking MAY influence the outcome of the experiments.
Scientists don't include religion in their experiments but a lot of them believe in religion. Furthermore, there are some scientists who include religion in their studies.
Science just try to make our lives easier. Science just try to explain why this and why that.
I am a very religious person and I am currently studying in a very respected science and technology school.

At the same time, one could ask why is the church so hateful towards people who are different? Or people who have a difference of opinion? If God created us all equal and God gave us free will, is it not then up to us to make choices in life?

Tell me, what is God's way? What makes your way any better than someone else's way, be they Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddist, Athiest, or any one of the many other religions out there? Do you really think that if a person lives an honest life, free of ignorance and prejudice, void of hatred and filled with love, your God is really going to condemn them to hell just because they prayed to the wrong God? Or didn't pray at all?

Religion claimed natural phenomena were the result of the whims of the gods.

Science assumed otherwise, and the long, slow process of figuring out the universe began. None of the modern discoveries we value so much came from religion. It all came from science.

Science accepts only that which can be measured and proven. That's it.

Scientists don't try to discount religion. Their inquires are directed towards knowledge. They only provide answers which people ask them about religion. If nobody asked them then they wouldn't say anything because it is not part of their research. Remember that Steven Hawking was asked by the Vatican to lecture their and to comment on God not the other way around.

I have never discounted religion. Believe whatever you wish as long as you don't damage other people.

Science? Well that is a totally different thing. The pursuit of truth using a well tested skeptical method. Maybe religion should try that method sometime?

How precisely does technology coach God's be conscious? Please make clean. i became into decrease than the impact that the church rejects many theories of technology through fact it contradicts the comprehend God. If the cat you're staring at is data of creationism, then the dogs i'm staring at is data of evolution. I know people who elect to have confidence in a faith, yet frankly I even have none to your sort who tries to belittle people who're distinctive. the character of technology includes consistent replace in our expertise. that's what technology is. Disproved theories at the instant are not lies. They have been in basic terms the terrific knowledgeable "wager" based on the understanding obtainable on the time. As we earnings extra know-how, we earnings a extra advantageous expertise. Who precisely are those "scientist" colleagues of yours? Meteorologists? Agronomists? Botanists? constructive they are scientists, however the character of their field isn't comparable to, say paleontologists. Agronomists can learn from authentic-time archives and preform reason and result experiments. they'd plant a crop in 10 categories of soil and ascertain that's terrific. Paleontologists artwork with fossils that they discover interior the floor. they can't preform any trial and mistake experiments and for this reason would desire to make knowledgeable "guesses" based on the collective archives that has been accrued over the years. maybe you do no longer even classify paleontologists as scientists. i do no longer think of you have sufficient expertise of what technology fairly is. Todays faith is tomorrows fantasy. you think of it became into loopy for the Greeks to have confidence of their Gods? i ask your self what human beings 2000 years from now will say approximately your God who will deliver those he supposedly likes to hell. Peace.

It was YOU who wrote the book and didn't follow my words! You are a bunch of hypocritical boobs!"....lol!
