I have seen all kinds of answers on Yahoo about Global Warming, and the ones who deny it baffle me.

I agree the Earth has natural heating and cooling periods. But in the last 400,000 years the CO-2 concentration never got above 300 ppmv, now as of 2005 we are pushing past 400, and in the next 30-60 years we will double even that.

rkirby, you are wrong on both accounts. The hottest ten years in history have happened in the last 14, with 2005 being the hottest year since records have been kept. And the number of Cat 4-5 hurricanes has nearly doubled in the last 30 years.

NO ONE! It's ridiculous! The Heritage Foundation and the likes make up junk science to benefit polluting industries, and it's working! how sad that our leaders are so lazy that instead of trying to fix serious problems they would rather ignore them and go on living in denial. what is humanity coming to!?

C02 is not the only Greenhouse gas.

Volcanoes put out an awful lot of C02, but that's roughly .1 % of their total greenhouse gas emission if I remember correctly.

Global warming is NOT a myth however. It is obvious that the earth is getting warmer.

The cause of Global warming is what is in question right now.

Although I'm in Las Vegas, the middle of a desert, and we had an unusually cool week. It was about 102 degrees during the day and about 85 or 90 degrees in the early morning (5 am).

Weird.

The Earth had actually been cooling. It also has a "wobble" to
its spin. Scientists think this is due to the build-up of ice on the polar caps, which actually are located on slanted positons on
the Earth. Not true North and South.
I think this wobble has created disturbances within the Earth.
Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions. People ignore these facts due
to skepticism over prophetic claims.
The volcanic eruptions. Seen more and more on the news.
Are spewing tons of ash and hot gases into the atmosphere.
Along with the already existing greenhouse effect from pollution, and raging fires complicating things. You have your Global
Warming.

Since they never really had accurate data before the last 50 - 100 years that is hardly an accurate statement. Concrete causes more local global warming than anything else, but it's effect is local. Cities are way hotter than the surrounding countryside so where you collect data would make a huge difference.

Hi chicken little-I'm sorry, I peed on some snow last year because i thought it was funny when the neighbors thought God sent them lemon-ice. I guess I was really contributing to global warming. Next year I'll grab a scoop of melting ice and store it in the freezer to put out on the hottest day to combat my past mistake. My bad.

Gives Al Gore a political buzz....
There were worse hurricaine seasons in the 1930's, and hotter summers and colder winters throughout the 20th Century.
A fact: The net change in the last 100 years is plus .02 degrees worldwide.
The left accuses the right of scare tactics - but why doesn't anyone blow the whistle on the left for this?

I will not deny that global warming and cooling is non existent, science proves otherwise. I do, however, contend that the amount of global warming that is man-made is debatable.

The earth is always heating up or cooling down. That's just how it is. Right now we're coming out of a decades long cooling cycle.

The issue isn't really about whether or not things are warming up. Its about whether its a natural thing (it is) or if its manmade (it isn't).

well it helps if the oil companies are paying for you to say it.

those who say it for free....they puzzle me too.

My favorite excuses is that the old there is cooling and heating without ever talking about all the factors or even mention of the coralation between CO2 and global warming.

Sure there's warming. The Earth warms. That's just the way it is.
Man has nothing to do with it, nor can AL Gore stop it.
