Contact an airline and ask to speak to someone in management - then ask for an "information interview". This is not a job interview - but is intended to help you learn what the expections and responsibilities of the position are. Take a notepad and have some questions prepared. This way you can figure out if this is something you want to pursue. Most good managers will be willing to give you 20 minutes of thier time. I suggest a "thank you" note the next day. Good Luck!

Well, i had a friend that became a flight attendant. A few things that happened to her....

She roomed up with other flight attendants in an apartment that was near their "home airport", whichever one that was...i think it was miami. You need to have a firm hand with people (don't let travelers push you around or call you sweetheart), but also be nice and sweet. Thats a real gift and most people need to learn that. I think you'll need a watch with dual times on it to help you remember what time your coming to. You can't be a grouchy type (like me) when you get tired....there will be times when you still need to smile after a 14 hour flight and the time (in your head/body) is 3am. You also need to be careful about relationships.... my friend got into sexual relationships with any guy (at work or just flying) that gave her a compliment. Don't do this.... it wont bring you comfort (when your missing home) and it wont bring you a good name. Keep your values and respect yourself...treat it as a job and not a bar to pick up men.

the pros... you get to travel the world. Your family can travel (virtually) for free as well. If you do well, you can move up in the airline. I think there are other incentives as well... like if you meet prospective job opportunities from rich people in first class that are flying and see potential in you for their own companies (something that would not have happened if you would have stuck in your small home town at the tasty freez).... You can definitely meet a lot of different people.

Good luck!

Not many pros, possibility of meeting someone rich if you are in first class. Many cons, pretty hard to get home at night, long, long working hours, many girls who have been a FA for a number of years have gyneacological problems later, and all the flight boys are gay. Would you really want to be a space waitress?

If you want to get a job at an airline just contact them they are always on the lookout and will give you all the information. You get plenty of time off and good pay. Why not go for it.

in the event that they're charging a value up front, do no longer bypass with their software. airways certainly pay their flight attendant trainees for flight education regardless in the event that they get in or no longer. have confidence me, it somewhat is going to be a nightmare in case you proceed.
