Thousand Islands are a chain of islands that straddle the U.S.-Canada border in the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario
There are "castles" to go visit. There is one called Singer Castle on Dark Island as well as one called Boldt Castle on Heart Island which is currently being restored. Might not be able to visit that one, then.
Visit the Thousand Island Parkway which gives you a scenic view of many of the islands.
Thousand Island dressing was named after Thousand Islands...

I haven't been there in a while, but they used to have these tour boats that were fun to ride on around all the little islands, and it cools you off because you're on the water.
