when a big mirror reflects the images it shows only one reflection of things around it but when the mirror is broken, each piece of the mirror shows the reflection of the images around it? why does it happen that way?

When the mirror is in one piece it is reflecting light at one angle. When it is broken in to many pieces, each piece reflects light at a slightly different angle, relative to the viewer.

Try to break the glass on the straight floor. Each glass will reflect single straight image although with cracks.

Since the glass was broken into tiny pieces, every tiny flakes of them will reflect, but we could not see it because of the smallesness of the broken glass.
