Your man needs to keep himself clean and free of perfumes. He should use unscented deodorant.

You should eat a small amount of food every hour even if it is just a few crackers. Don't let your stomach become empty. But don't eat any huge meals either. Just avoid the foods that bother you. Please don't take any medicine for this because it could harm your baby at this early stage of your pregnancy.

I know EXACTLY what you're feeling. When I was pregnant with my first son. I used to get so sick when I'd smell McDonalds. I even vomited after seeing the side of a McDonalds trailer. You know how it has the big pictures of hamburgers on it. EWW it made me so sick! Also, the smell of my fathers cologne made me so deathly ill! I hated it, for a long time after. And it's not even a gross smelling cologne.

Keep in mind that your sense of smell is much stronger. And it doesn't go well with morning sickness. What an MD recommended to me once, was that I keep some crackers by my bed. That way when you wake up in the morning, you can eat crackers. Do this while your still in bed. It helps a little bit. Because moving around and all that good stuff, can affect your sickness more.

It's the wonderful thing about pregnancy, your sense of smell is heightened. This is a good thing - because it helps make a mother change her lifestyle to only have healthy things for her baby. It's the women who don't have morning sickness that keep their bad habits of smoking, coffee drinking, etc.

Ask your man to lay off the cologne for awhile. He should understand. I even asked mine to change his deodorant scent.

I've tried the ginger - ok, eeww. And it really doesn't work. Ginger ale soda with the real ginger ale, is hard to find and didn't do any good either. And besides, nothing nutritional in it for baby anyways. I've also tried those "preggie pops" - they're pretty good candies...but my sugar highs were so high - that when I had the sugar lows immediately preceding, I had the worst migraines.

Emetrol can be used. Take as directed. You can also take 1/2 unisom gel cap with a vitamin B6 caplet at night. I like the gel caps, they cut easily.

Treat morning sickness like you have the flu. Keep yourself hydrated. Take small sips of water as often as you can. Dehydration causes morning sickness to become worse, not to mention other things like cramping, dizziness, constipation, and babies do tend to take quite a bit of fluids to grow. Eat lightly, and in small amounts. Don't eat a big meal. Eat several small meals throughout the day. I lived on chicken soup for quite a bit. Stay away from greasy food, and heavy food.

If the morning sickness is more than you can handle, don't hesitate to call your doctor. I finally called mine after a few weeks, who replied "what took you so long?" I got a prescription for Zofran. Really expensive without insurance, but a really good pill. Anti-nausea, instant dissolve. Lasts 12 hours.

Oh I understand eggs and coffee were my problem. It will go away. I used to keep a bottle of water and some saltine crackers by my bed. Before I moved in the morning I would have a drink and eat a cracker, it helped. Talk to your husband about not wearing any scented stuff for awhile. I found lowering the temperature for some crazy reason helped. Hang in there the first three months in many ways are the hardest. If it is really bad talk to your doctor.

You are experiencing common morning sickness -- unfortunately for some people it lasts all day. Eat crackers and stuff like that to calm your stomach. Drink ginger ale. If your nausea is especially bad, tell your doctor. Being sensitive to smells at the beginning of the pregnancy is normal, though. One good thing it usually goes away after the first trimester.

Welcome to morning sickness!! Stupid name for it in my opinion because when I've had it it was more like ALL DAY sickness.
Anyway, I would eat saltine crackers before I even moved out of bed and it would work for me. Keep them within arms reach, eat 4-5, wait a few minutes and then slowly get up.
There isnt much you can do for smells. Make him not wear his perfume maybe? I'd avoid the foods that make you ill too.
Good news--most morning sickness ends after the first trimester is over (around 13 weeks).

My sister just got over her morning sickness and nausea. She would stop what she was doing and just take really slow deep breaths in through her nose and out through her mouth with her eyes closed until the nausea passed. If your man's perfume is making you sick, ask him to change it at least until you're morning sickness is over. My sister also found that grapes were the easiest thing for her to try to eat. Don't dispair, everyone gets sick in the beginning. If you find yourself losing weight, talk to your doctor because there are some meds you can take to help.

Regular Saltine Crackers by the bed. No eggs. No yogurt. Nothing too salty. Crackers, Ramen Noodles, and Soft Serve Ice Cream will help the nausea..Fresh Air. Deep Breaths. Cool wind blowing on your face (stand or sit in front of a fan). Cold showers. Anything cold will pretty much help. Don't try a heating pad. They don't help too much. Elevate your feet when you sleep at night. Oh Yeah, It's Normal. It should go away by the beginning of your 2nd trimester and return by the middle of the 3rd.

I'm sorry but the smells are something you'll have to deal with until the sickness passes, for nausea you can try crackers, ginger ale, and they have some suckers especially for that
