based on my own research, I beleive I may have temporal or frontal lobe epilepsy - (it's a long story) I'm leaning more toward temporal). anyway, If I had an EEG test 1. would it show once and for all if I am epileptic and 2. would the test show which type I may have?

thanks.

Honestly- it depends. It may show it, and you may find out exactly *where* in the brain this malfunction is coming from. But it might not show anything.

If you're having seizures, try talking to your doctor about medication, as sometimes its easier to treat the symptoms than find the root cause. Its probably not what you wanted to hear, but its the truth.

No it rather is not any longer. the concern is that the EEG provides a view of the innovations yet does not degree seizure interest. most of the time EEG's are taken, the guy does not have a seizure. hence, the EEG does not grant the outcomes to coach cutting-edge seizure interest.

If you have a seizure during the test, it will show where in your brain the seizure started, and what type of epilepsy you have.

From my own experience I would say that EEG tests are only 90% accurate.
