Horrible government and economy? Uh no way! I live here and I think of Oregon on a regular basis. ARRR
Those who have not been here should not knock it. One poster saying it is a boring state, must be from New Jersey.

Live here and love it. When I think of Oregon I think of the wonderful green of the forests, the blue of the water and the ocean, and the peace of the country side, the openess of the desert and the friendliness of the people. I think of all the people who moved here to turn the country from wilderness into a place they could live in and be proud of.
I live in a small town where people still care about their neighbors (we take turns mowing each others lawns and try not to get caught at doing it), where the postman will flag you over to deliver a next day air package (to be sure you get it today), where you can write checks without having to show your ID and credit cards and where your kids can still go over to a neighbors knowing the whole neighborhood is watching out for them.
Are our politics perfect? No, but then we still live in a country where rules can be changed. So it only gets better....
When I think of Oregon, I think of home.

Well yes, I have already been to Oregon, but before that I imagined it to be deserted with like no people, just farms and stuff, very brown for some reason. And that Portland was the best part, because it is a big city like any other.
I was so wrong.

Iv'e been there. Fresh clean air, no sales taxes, beautiful beaches, friendly people,small cities a great state collage and the blazers!

I lived there for two years and I liked it. It's a beautiful state. The weather's nice. No sales tax and you can't pump your own gas.
