I just thought of this. This isn't meant to be controversial or provoke hatred, it's just interesting how directly connected World War I is with 9/11 and the War in Lebanon. -k- Here we go... oh, and any vicious anti-semetic/anti-Israel remarks will be reported faster than you can shitt your pants....
1. World War I happens and Germany loses.
2. Germany blames its loss and it's subsequent depression on the Jews
3. Hitler comes to power and ignites World War II
4. The Holocaust occurs ending in the slaughter of over 6 million European Jewry. Ignites the Zionist movement and mass immigration of Jews to Israel.
5. Over the next 30-40 years, the Israeli-Palestinian/Arab conflict escalates with several small wars, etc.
6. Many Arab countries and Palestinian sympathizers come to view the U.S. as a protector and ally of Israel. Hence September 11.
....And here we are in 2006. It kind of makes you wonder how different the world would be today if the Archduke Ferdinand wasn't shot...

Drew, as I clicked on your question I was preparing to give you a thumbs down, but you do make an interesting observation.
I think that the political root causes for war were there before the Archduke was shot and although it was a catalyst, had it not happened the war would still have come about in another fashion, as would the succession of events that followed over the years. I think that very little of what has happened in history could be found to pivot on one event.

Except for the fact that the Arab hated the Jews before WW2
which make the whole Isreal stole our land so we must hate them defense pointlss

Arabs leaders who promised to rid the middle east of the
Jews.They also wanted a one Arab state which would include
all of the middle East.Sadam Hussein father was part of this movement and sadam took alot of his leadership from Mein
Kempt and from the Nazi part. The brotherHood which was
the forefather of the modern terror movement also had
ties to the Nazi party.
