They've been brainwashed to believe it, so they have to keep that charade up, therefore by twisting the words to suit themselves, that's how they keep up their belief and further justify it in their own minds.

Because the bible was written by men. Perfection was translated into imperfect language, by imperfect translators. Obviously no matter how powerful god is, he can only tell us what we would understand.
Also, I don't think the bible is literal. I think It's a big Metaphor, I have many a theories on it. They are too big to post here. Feel free to ask me in a private message if you want to talk bible with a non-believer.

I understand your frustration, yet i trust the bible is in truth the very words of God and could be observed. i trust your anger heavily isn't with Christians believing the bible contains no mistakes, yet with those who take it out of context and upload issues that it extremely does not say as an get mutually many church doctrines say the dinosaurs in no way existed because as of now clinical evidence factors to them living and demise off formerly guy became in this earth. this would look to teach the bible incorrect, yet does it extremely? At one time clinical evidence said the earth became flat. We now understand it isn't. i trust if God enables the earth and people to very last lengthy sufficient technology will locate the answer and it is going to teach the bible precise. some trust introduction took many thousand years and in accordance to an afternoon is to God like 1000 years, who's to say this is not actual? some trust there became 2 creations, one the position God created the earth with the dinosaurs, and yet another no matter if he created guy. who's to say, purely because the bible mentions in ordinary words one introduction and one earth, we received't be particular he did not create others. Religion itself is a tool to provide morality in context, explain the unexplainable, and provide comfort to those unwilling to except the reality of the world in which they live. If you took the bible literally then what good would it do you? It is a shelter.

Because the information and the intellect bounded to the bible is too much for a human to understand. They may explain in differently but the essense of what god is telling us is far too complex to understand. We're just starting to discover what lies in the bible. I think that in time, we dont have to explain the bible.. but rather, the bible will explain itself to us.
