Fafe (pron. IPA: ['faf(ɨ)]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 219.1 km² and a total population of 53,528 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 36 parishes, and is located in the district of Braga.
The present Mayor is José Martins Ribeiro, elected by the Socialist Party.

Portugal is the first dry gravel event of the year and its nature varies between fast, smooth gravel and very rough conditions, that deteriorate as each car passes.
Portugal has always been a significant event for the Hyundai team. It was here in 1998 that the team made its first foray in the World Rally Championship, with the Formula 2 (two-wheel drive) coupe.
