Please get social services for your mom, she can take it for two years.
Contact a leasing company to rent out and maintain your properties and pay your mortgages and put the rest in an account for your mom. You can always keep in touch with them via phone and email.
When you are in prison don't get in trouble and do everything you can to possibly shorten your stay and just think about your mom waiting for you.
When you're out you should have a great chance for a brand new start with property and possibly a few bucks.
Good Luck. You can do this, don't panic, just start now.

You've GOT to talk to Social Services. you and your Mom BOTH need to get the the nearest Social Security Office, and start filling out papers. And don't forget about asking about " Emergency Food Stamps ". They are available immediately. Also, look on the net, or in the Yellow Pages for other places to help. A Catholic Church is always a good place to go. They can also help you with other places to go.
Good luck, and God bless you and your Mom.

I have no experience in this, but did your lawyer or public defender explain this to the judge? Yes, you brought this on yourself, but it's not your mother's fault. Even if you do go to prison, there ought to be some sort of assistance for her. Talk to your lawyer. Go to your county clerk's office and see if they have information on assistance your mother might be eligible for. Maybe a church in the neighborhood could help you or direct you to organizations that can help. Other than that, I don't know. I'm sorry. I hope and pray you work this out.

sell the house, or get a second mortgage. Use that money to buy a co-op (which the mortgage might be cheaper), and use the rest of the money to pay for that mortgage.
