YES, i have one and it's not even a minature pig, he is big and thinks he's one of the dogs he walks inside and jumps on the couch and if i let the dogs in and not 'porky' he will snort until i let him in...lol they are great pets but require a fair bit of space and they will dig up all your grass and garden, so if you dont mind that i would say get one..

Farm pigs or miniatures, like potbellies? If you're inquiring about potbellied pigs, they make good pets for the right owners. For owners who aren't prepared or willing to deal with all of the pig's needs and qualities, they can be a nightmare to own. Check out this article: http://www.potbellypigpets.com/potbelliedaspet.html

Monthly costs will vary, but shouldn't be too expensive. A month's supply of special food will probably cost you $15-30. Add in a daily supply of fruits and veggies. Start-up costs will be the most expensive. Vet bills, spaying/neutering, shelter (usually a dog house for outside and a dog cage for inside), a traveling crate, a plastic baby pool for hot weather, food bowls, harness and leash, bedding (hay or blankets). Yearly maintenence costs should also be considered. Wear and tear on a lot of this stuff may require you to replace certain things. Bedding is often replaced regularly. Yearly vet bills for vaccinations, worming, and hoof/tusk trims.

Are they clean animals? Yes, overall they are quite clean. Pigs will choose a bathroom spot and stick with it. They can be litterbox trained. A neutered pig will not give off offensive odors and pigs don't sweat. Because they don't sweat though, they will often roll in mud in the summer to stay cool. A quick hose-down will clean them off though and it's quite fun to watch them flop around in sheer pleasure. :) Some pigs will use a baby pool filled with water instead of mud. Muddy hooves and slobbering can be hard on the carpet, fair warning.

I hear that pot belly pigs are smart or even smarter then dogs but they are not widely accepted as pets in some areas due to exposure and yes they keep clean if you raise them right as for how much it cost a month to feed and take care of them I have no idea

Pigs make excellent pets! My best friend had one, a pot belly, and she was great! Pigs have about the same intelligence level as dogs, so you can train them for treats too (though not as strenusouly bc they are stockier!)
