Pure communism is a ideal that all people in a group share everything equally, but own nothing. The group as a whole owns everything and things are dispersed evenly to all members. Many religious orders were communist (with this meaning) and some still are. On a state level, human ambition stands in the way of communism working. Nobody wants to be just another cog in the wheel. Human nature includes ambition and competition. Over time, this causes people who can work the system to do so in their favor. Lenin and Stalin are examples. True communism is not a bad ideal, but only in a small group setting. As a nation-state, it will never really work. People may survive, but not really live a good life.

I grew up learning that Communism was a different form of government then ours. In our government we believe the means justifies the end and that in communism the end justifies the means. It's heavy and you should talk about this with your firiends. You'll find a lot of confusion out there about this but i think it held true.
You can get more info by reading Robert Mitchells "Graves of Acadamie" and I think the new book out, "The MYth of a Christian Nation" will explain a lot about how we are different from the communists. IMHO> Marco

Communism evolved from the principle that the power of the state comes from the workers who provide labor for growth. Equal treatment among the people instead of allowing some people the power in order to enrich themselves from businesses. It started in Europe through Karl Marx and Stalin wherein people deposed monarchies and allowed the working class to win and established what is now the powerful Russia that provided ideas for Mao Tse Tung to make China woke up as a sleeping giant. The money is distributed to the people through supplies of goods instead of allowing only a few rich people to control enterprises and vital industires.

A jewish man named MARX.
The people are largely forced to work slave labor for low wages. Food can become scarce in this situation and it really does. Just read about Communist Russia.
I believe China is a Communist country.
It hurts the regular people liek you and I, if we were to live in a nation as such.
The first premice of it is Equality. It sounds good but it is rotten at the core. You can not leave the country without permission from the government.
The few at the top of government leach alot of the money and live very well themselves.

The government conrtolls all aspects of industry. Everyone earns the same amount of money, no matter where you work. There is no competition, for the government IS the only brand. Things often lack quality, and people usually own what the government pretty much says they need to own.
