i had the depo shot 2 1/2 weeks ago and had unprotected sex 8 days ago. today when i went to the bathroom there was some dark down discharge....later on i went back and then it was pink...could this possibly be implantation bleeding??? im also having mild cramps?

Yes i was didnt like it your probably getting your period.no you cannot get pregnant you will gain weight and your body acts like its pregnant when your on it.

The fail rate of depo is less the 1% ( if taken every 12 weeks). I would say it's just your body getting used to the hormone. I have been on Depo for 18mths and have had no bleeding as I had it after the birth of my baby.
If your worried go to see your GP/family planning clinic.

I was on depo for 9 months and that sounds like breakthrough bleeding .... mine was so bad I stopped taking it and switched to the pill. My friend was on it for years before the breakthrough bleeding started for her, same with my sister. This type of bleeding, especially the dark brown color you described seems to be a common side effect of depo. Of course, if you're not sure its always best to see your doctor.

I was on depo for 7 years it sounds like normal breakthough bleeding to me which is normal while your body is ajusting to the depo. I had a bit of bleeding during the first month or two then it stopped.

yes it could your meant to wait a month b4 having unprotected sex test in 2 weeks it should show up on a hpt by then if you want you can get a blood test from Dr's they will be able to tell you yes or no now good luck
