She has a monthly interest that pays her rent, food, etc. so she doesn't need any money.

She has a luxury car, and she spends plenty of $$ on designer clothes but she is not super rich.

We used to work together but she has recently quit. She is having trouble finding a job she wants to do (I guess she thinks why put up w/ **** from boss, etc. if you don't have to).

She's a really nice girl & does charity work often. Also, she has a BA in history but I don't think she is into that anymore.

If I was in her position I'd quit my job too, but I don't know what I would do. Travel, shop, give to charity I guess.

What would you do?

Money can make more money, if you invest it right. If I was in that position, I would educate myself about various investment opportunities and put my money to work.

Even if you are relatively rich, you can still end up spending most of your money and being poor in old age. That's why when you have money, it's important to educate yourself about what to do with the money in order to avoid money problems in the future.

Also, money doesn't make people happy. Money only makes life easier. It's loving relationships that make people happy.

Your friend is now in a good position to start a family and have loving relationships for the rest of her life without having to juggle family and work responsibilities. And of course to protect her inheritance, she should make a pre-naptual agreement before marriage.

Money can be an opportunity to do many interesting and rewarding things in life. And money can also be an opportunity to quit work and do nothing for the rest of your life. The first choice usually brings joy and happiness. And the second choice usually brings aimlessness and unhappiness.

invest for the long term. property, stocks, bonds, tbills etc. dont go out and blow loads on designer clothes that next month will be designer rags. dont waste money on a luxury car, buy something reliable and pay it off immediately. the fewer payments you have to make to anyone the better. you said she pays her rent with it, maybe stop buying junk and buy a house that will be worth more in a few years. keep your job is a huge thing too even if its part time as you tend to waste money if you dont have something to do and dont get grounded by having to work for what you have.

Helping other people is the most rewarding job a person can have. Be proud to know her and be there for her because money helps, but it doesn't promise you health and happiness.
Your friend will work things out for herself and if she does decide to travel she'll need a companion and it will most likely be you. She'll need you. Your input is very important to her.

I would buy a house. Rent free is good, and its an investment.
I would keep the rest in investments and work on my masters.
