What has happened to the world? Do you people know what funk is? I love Keith and Bonham, but come on, they did NOT, and probably COULD not play funk. It wasn't their game. I want more stuff along the lines of David Garibaldi and guys like that, can some musicians out there throw some names out for me?

Just so you all know, infectious agent has got the idea. He's probably the winner. Speaking of ToP, I just saw them this Wednesday at the San Mateo County Fair. Those guys are so FUNKY. David Garibaldi, geez.

David Garibaldi (Tower Of Power)
Jabo Starks and CLyde Stubblefield (just two of the drummers to have played with James Brown)
Bernard Purdie
Ray Torres
Miles Tacket (drummer on rotation for new funk outfit Breakestra)
Pete McNeil (also from Breakestra)
Shane Oshea (also from Breakestra)

Give the drummer some! I don't know if you've been to this site yet : http://www.funkydrummer.com/JPpages/contents.html

Atomic bomb annihilates Japan! people might want to have study a headline like this following August sixth, 1945. to verify the protection of america in the time of an all out conflict, we began arising the concept of an atomic bomb. once more suitable and effectively examined, President Truman made without hesitation the alternative to launch the type of fury Too study more beneficial

Keith Moon most definately, hands down, the funkiest of his time! Travis Barker is amazing as well (not a BLINK 182 fan)! I guess it all depends on your type of music.

Dave Weckl is good but he is more fusion then funk. I like anyone that played drums for JB. They all knew how to play in the pocket. Throw Bootsy on bass, and you have a band!

Tommy Lee...hands down!! Who else has a drum set that rotates above the audience. I saw the Crue twice and both times he was spinning around upside down and going in circles. It was the most awsome shows I ever saw.
