We have to face the truth its a small group of Muslims that are holding the world hostage. There are travel restriction for everyone now. My question is why not have people of Muslim faith travel with just Muslims. I'm not racist at all. I just feel the entire world should not suffer because of one small group of people.

If we put restrictions on them, it destroys our one of our core values of equality for all.

If we don't put restrictions on them, they will kill us.

Either way, they win.

The problem with your proposition is that people of Muslim faith are as varied as people of most other faiths. The Ku Klux Klan and Phelps are christian; does this mean we should ban all Christians from voting? You might argue that, in this case, Christians are not a "small minority", as you say Muslims are. But this statement is also incorrect; Islam is the world's fastest-growing religion and it has many different denominations, just like Christianity.
The harm to our nation induced by not allowing Muslims the same rights as the rest of Americans is far, far bigger than any terrorist act could produce. Not only would it cause even more inner fraction, it would cast a negative light on the United States and be a big blow to already-delicate international relations.
You probably think that the safety bought would be greater than the harm caused, but even a policy such as you suggest would be extremely easy to circumvent for any determined terrorist; they would just lie about their faith and their identity.
Overall, even ignoring the obvious discriminatory overtones of your query, your idea is just not very practical.

That would be no better a solution that what we did to Japanese-Americans during WWII, I thought we had learned from that dark, nearly forgotten part of our past, learned NOT to punish/suspect/blame an entire culture on what a handful of radicals did. Watch the Denzel Washington/Bruce Willis film THE SIEGE and tell me, is that how YOU really want this country to act? Come on people, WAKE UP, Please, before we really ARE in the middle of WWIII. There are "bad seeds" in every religion, every race, every culture, why should all the others of that same religion/race/culture be ostracized, not only does this horrible practice not make sense, it's just flat out wrong, next time it might be YOUR race/religion/culture that plants a bomb or flies a plane into a building, do you REALLY to be the target that most see Muslims as now?

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me, the Catholics
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Father Martin Niemöller

Is this the kind of world you REALLY want?

I feel that your entire question is not only racist but incredibly supremicist and hurtful. Just because you don't agree with the actions of a few members of a certain group of people, gives us NO right to limit them in such a way. Look back before you spout ideas like these again. We've moved beyond forcing people that we think "less" of to sit in the back of a bus or only use certain restrooms already. Why must history so painfully repeat itself? Just because a handful of extremists act as terrorists does NOT mean the entire faith should be punished.

Look at the Oklahoma City bombing. Or have you already forgotten that horrible tragedy? That was not a Muslim. That was a typical American man. So, should we limit ourselves somehow too? How can you make your limiting of terrorists fair? Terrorists come from all walks of life. We, as a nation, are not perfect; we just like to flaunt that we feel as though we are.

No. If we did, we would be back in the internment camp mentality. That's racial profiling, just like the police stopping cars because of the race of the driver. It's a small faction of a religious order..we have conservative and split groups from every race, religion, gender, etc. I am white, Protestant. One of my closest friends is a Sunni Muslim. Is it her fault that a small percentage of her faction of her religion is being extremist? Our country is based on freedom and democracy. We need to be diligent in safety, but keep the freedom and the democracy.

I don't know how you would look at someone and tell they were Muslim -not all of them are the same race, not all of them dress the same. No where on my passport does it say I'm a Christian, so travel documents won't tell you, either. Even if things got so dire that it was deemed necessary, it would be an impossible measure to enforce.

Even if your proposal wasn't racist, implementing it would be impossible.

How could Muslims be segregated from the non-muslims? If we just asked people if they were Muslims, I suspect many Muslims would lie and say they were not in order to be able to travel freely.

Or perhaps we should have nationwide surveillance, so instead of suspected terrorists we could have suspected Muslims?

I dont believe the majority of one small group should suffer either. Not all people of Muslim culture are terrorists.

No this is a label your putting a label on muslims and they are not terrorists they are freedom fighters and are peace loving people.I think zionist israel is holding the world hostage.I we didn't support israel so much we woudn't have these problems like we have now.The U.S. sends israel tanks, jets, bombs that are killing muslim families if someone from another country bombed my house and killed my family with a tank shell signed with love by israeli kids, id be out for their blood for damn sure.Take a look and learn both sides of the story

No. If you look at history, far more acts of terrorism have committed by Christians. Should travel restrictions be placed on Christians?

no way. that would anger them even more.

and the group of muslim extremists are of the minority. never categorise.

there are extremists for every culture, religion etc. if each were to travel in separate compartments/planes they would all crash into each other cuz of heavy air/road traffic.
