the entire South is unified by a drawl, while up north we are divided in our accents, from "New Yawk" to "Ro-D'island" to "Baahston" to the Buffalo "A". Plus California has a bazillion dialects. We're too diverse in the North to agree. The south is one big family...

Because the south votes as a bloc, all a winner has to do is take the south and any states he takes in the north will be enough to give them the electoral college votes they need to win.

Because the states are more populous than some like Wyoming and others further north. Not to mention we have the "Bible Belt" that everyone but "us" loves so much. So, they can preach up a storm and get the rest of the people up north to listen to them. But, as a Southerner, I can tell you, THEY DON'T MEAN IT! Its just that people respond to Red, White and Blue and name calling, two thing's southern Christians are ACES AT!

Because that's where alot of voters live so if you say you're from Texas that's like 20,000,000 votes right there.
