I didn't bother getting my license for ages. If I knew what I know now, I would have got it straight away as soon as I was old enough. I love the freedom of being able to drive where I want when I want, I don't know how I handled walking everywhere before. So I guess what I would say to your questions is it sure as hell beats walking.

My car has had a broken trans for 3 months. Trust me I miss driving. Walking and taking Septa getreal old after a while. Any body have a 5sp for a 2002 Z-24?

Driving is fun if you have a nice car and an open road. Not so much in a beater in rush hour traffic!

I love to drive. Except in stop & go traffic, I even enjoy commuting.
Heck, I just got my motorcycle license.
The down-side to driving is the traffic, stupid drivers not paying attention and almost hitting you, the cost of gas and car insurance (I'm in NJ).

At first it's really fun, the rush of independence I guess. But you get used to it & sometimes wish someone would drive you instead.

It sucks...let me write you an essay. I've got my licese for 3 months..I've been on the highway. Got several close accidents. Yelled at for running a red light. Forgot to release my handbrake". Can't co-ordinate when I drive. Stupid reckless drivers. BLAHBLAHBLAHHHHHH...I HATE DRIVIN!!!!

yeah for first few months, it's liked you are the god breezing through the wind and go anywhere at a touch of your legs and hands.. but after awhile, it gets so borrrredddddd.......
