children are animals.. same as adults... we are all Mammals infact - so a human child is the equivalant of a horses foal, or a whales calf.. only not as cute and somewhat more demanding...
plus the human child tends to think it should be able to do nothing but watch TV and whine until mommy buys it stuff it usually doesnt need anyhow

You have to support a child for 18 years...the animal will be dead long before that.
