Traditional home for the Palestinians. Land stolen from the Palestinians to create Israel 1948. This is what the skirmish is all about. Since then the Israelis have invited Jews from all over the world to occupy this land. For the most part these new immigrants are not culturally the same as people in the region and this helps to exacerbate tensions because of the disrespect and mistreatment of the locals.
These Jews who so vividly can paint a picture of their Holocaust have no sensitivity to the people in the region. The people in the region are routinely tortured and harassed and badgered and now a new venue has been added to their punishment - state terror. The Palestinians were first tested with this new venue and are still now under siege in the Gaza strip.
This new venue has now been perfected in Lebanon where the whole country was terrorized for a month for the sins of a few.
Innocent women and children were killed with not even an apology nor cessation of hostilities.A new page in the history of these "chosen people of God".

Well the Jewish people have lived in the land for over 3000 years while the Palestinians moved there just prior to the re formation of the country of Israel. The Palestinians were nomads that the other Arab countries refuse to let settle in their countries. Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, and Trans- Jordan told them to settle in there so they would not have to deal with them. The Arab countries had hoped that by having them settle there then the Jewish people would have no where to go and not return to their country.
Oh an on a side note the history of Egypt which is over 4500 years of recorded history does not ever mention any country called Palestine.

Good question. And the debate has gone on forever.
It is believed the Palestinians are descended from Amalek. Who was the son of Esau. Who you might know forfeited his
birthright to his brother Jacob over some food, when he was
hungry.
Jacob became Israel. After his decendents returned from
Egypt, the Exodus. The Amalekites fought them bitterly.
Basically, the land belongs to both. But the sibling rivalry and loss of the birthright created an animosity that has lasted for
generations.
According to the Scriptiures that is.

That is a good question and seems to be the soul of this crap over there. Biblical scholars and historians of the time record that the people of Isreal (I don't know if they were called Isrealites or what) were given the promised land and that Abraham would lead them to it. I think this is the land that Isreal settled on after WW II. I think they had it before anyone else did once Abraham got them to it.

Iraqis were the first (mesopatamia) but definitely Palestinian, Israel made it official just before ww2, however Israelites were there before the Palestinians, and the religion was around first...then the palestinians grew out of the christianity/ zorastrianism which grew out of judaism... Hmmm wonder why there is some dispute over the issue
