coz Abbondenzieri was injured & Peckerman's dumb idea in substituting Cambiasso for Riquelme & not giving Messi a chance to perform.

Argentina and Germany were by far the best two teams to watch at the world cup. The reason Argentina did'nt progress is because the Germans don't miss penalties, they're ruthless from the spot.

Because the dumb coach substituted Riquelme and Hernan Crespo in the Middle of the game,and didn't put Messi to play,and also because Abbondandzieri was injured so Leo Franco went in with no experience at all.

Although they won their game against Serbia & Montegro in a score of 7-0, they lost to the powerful Germans in the penalty round after a tie of 1-1. If I'm not wrong, the score of the penalties was 5-1.

Because their goalie got injured. In PKs, the Argentina goalie dove to the side the ball wasn't kicked to every single kick. That, and the substitution thing

Because they couldn't beat a German team, that either by skill or luck, is probably one of the most successful team when it comes down to competetive tournament penalty shoot-outs... and of course, in my opinion, a tactical blunder of taking out Riquelme and Crespo, and not putting on Messi....

they made a tactical error in substitution and then their goalie got injured.. this left lionel messi on the bench and argentina was suddenly helpless for the penalties..
