It really depends on you...For me the guitar is easy to learn how to play ......for drums you have to have supper good rhythem..and i dont ...and as for the bass...well i never really tried to play it because you can learn more songs and make more music with the guitar....To get started you need to get an acoustic guitar and get trained on how to play or you can teach your self by just trying to make songs or go to the web and down load power tablature...Good luck!!!!!! making music is beautiful no matter what it is !!!! Keep it alive!!

Drums seem to be the easiest, however that depends on a few things, like most importantly the opportunity to practice. Drums are loud and good electronic sets are expensive yet are quiet when used with headphones. There are a lot of great sites on the web that can help you learn any or even all three. http://www.wholenote.com, is one of the best for guitar they also have a link to activebass which is good for learning bass. Also getting into music theory seems to help a lot when you hit a plateau in your learning or playing. One of the best computer programs out there for learning seems to be guitar pro 5, which is very useful for learning drums and bass as well. The great thing about guitar pro 5 is that there are sites where you can get user made .gp4 files of many popular songs for free, and if they are done well you can learn a lot. Actually sometimes even if a person does a weak version of a song a lot can be learned. All things being equal I would recommend bass the most. It is actually a lot of fun playing a guitar pro file with the bass track muted while you play bass. It is also a great jumping off point for going to drums or guitar, because the timing of a bass line in many songs reflect the drum beat and you also get the benefit of knowing the main notes in many songs, thus a good bass player might know the beat well enough to play it on the drums and could also keep a good rhythm guitar by using those main notes.

Well to start for bass or guitar or drums you need a bass, guitar or drums

if you choose electric (Bass or guitar) you will also need an amplifier

It all depends on your personal preference... You see most people play guitar because its easiest to play the melody...

If you want to be in a band people always look for a bass player (not so common at all for gutiar, there are always plenty of those)

Bad thing is if you dont play bass in a band, it wont be so easy to play by yourself

Sorry dont know much about drums but know a lot about guitar/bass

Bass would be the easiest to learn with only 4 strings, but they are all equal in learning to master them. Guitar is probably 2nd. Drums are trickier than they look, because you need some talent to be a good drummer, and it's hard to mask it when you don't have it.

It's best to take lessons. And by all means, stick with it.

bass is like othello, a second to learn, a lifetime to master. Start with a pic a bass and a cheap speaker (pawnshop for all) and pick it up from their. Shouldnt cost you more than 200 if you do it right. if you are new musician don't buy anything too new. I play guitar and bass, and bass is harder once you get into slap. Start by picking though.

That's like asking which language is easiest. Or is easier to fly a plane or drive a tank? It all depends on which is best for you. Some people can learn piano but not drums. Some are the other way around. As for what you need...you need to figure out what you want. If you pick which one is easiest, it might not be the one you like. and if you don't like it, you won't want to learn it as much. Then it's no longer the easiest.

I play all those instruments and in my opinion, the bass was the easiest to learn. Get a bass then go to "bassmasta.com" to get the bass tabs that make it easy to learn with the appropriate fingerings or finger positions for almost any song or genre of music (metal, funk, jazz, punk, etc.)

p.s. that is the same way I learned the guitar as well

It depends on your musical experience...If you play regular guitar (electric or acoustic), piano/keyboard or any other stringed instrument I'd say go for the bass...

If not, go for the drums...

At either rate, you're going to need whichever instrument you pick...Maybe a book or two to guide you along, possibly a teacher, and lots of patience...

Good luck whichever you choose.
