i checked the discs and and it says it cant detect the disc, but it says it for all of them, even my non scratched new ones. help

Probably the power supply, mine went out. Buy a new xbox switch the bar codes on the bottom, then get a refund thats how i solved the problem. oh, use a razor blade to get the sticker off.

if your system is more than two years old, you probably need to get a new disc drive. You van buy it on ebay for $30-$60. Look for samsung or phillips drive over Thompson, since it is more reliable. Basic plug and play installation. Try not to watch Dvd movies on it, since it will wear out the life of the lens. Good luck

Xbox stay is updating there Dashboard with new constructive factors. it somewhat is going to be on from September 29, 2008 12am-11:59pm. it somewhat is going to be up day after today, Tuesday. they might have a team chat, Avatars like the Wii, a sparkling format of the Dashboard, greater prepared music and video.

Sounds like a laser/CD drive problem you may need to call the company and have it repaired.

Microsoft wants 129.00 to fix it.
