Most definitely prefer the laid back country life to city life. Can go outside and night and look at the stars and not have the illumination from the city lights blocking the view. I live just 2 miles outside of our city limits and even though I am moving back into the city, I won't have to go far to get my "fresh country scents". There is just something about the smell of alfalfa & the sounds of crickets out in the country. A peacefulness.

I prefer the country to the city. It is quieter except the crickets ,chickens, and frogs. I don't miss have electricity much, running water would be nice. I have the animals that I aways wanted plus a job that is 6 months out of the year. My husband like that too. but my daughter wants to move to a big city.

Having a young family, country life is great. But when I was younger the city and fast life were great. Too old for it know.

I do. I have patience but not for the hustle and bustle of city life. I need peace and quiet to even concentrate or sleep. Besides, I couldn't handle the stresses of city life such as traffic, heavy crime, heavy pollution, and all of the noise. So I would have to say that I'd prefer the country life.

I find that I do more and more the older I get. I used to love living in the city, but by around 25 it started to get old. Now I find I move to increasingly rural areas and I love it. It's nice to slow down - and with kids it nice to be able to. Luis has it right (above) small quiet down not far (about an hour) from a big city is ideal.
Peace!

I have lived on a farm in the country my whole life. I wouldn't have it any other way. I live about 5 miles outside of a small southern town. Pop about 7000. It's great. I have quick access to stores and everything but, it's quiet and not a lot of traffic!!!

I will take the country life anytime. In the summer the smell of honeysuckle, the wind blowing through the fresh air. Long drives on back roads. Nothing better.

Once upon a time I lived waaaaay out in the middle of nowhere, and I loved it. I swore I would NEVER live anywhere where I couldn't walk out my back door and drop my pants and pee.
Fast forward 14 years later, I live in a small-ish city of roughly 600,000 people and I swear, I will NEVER live where I cannot have pizza delivered. So I guess my answer is...
Not Me.
