For a quick fix, take any empty 2 liter and use it like a plunger. Should get it unclogged. If not, if you have any coca cola in the house pour a little down the drain, and plunge it with the 2 liter after about 20 minutes. You could also try vinegar and baking soda. Hope it helps.
I wouldn't have said it if it didn't work. Worked for me!!!!!!! I tend to do a lot of quick fixes around the house, such as this. If you feel better about spending money then go do it, or call a plumber!

Try a plunger but be sure to seal the overflow drain hole while you're plunging otherwise you just swish air back and forth. If you don't have a plunger or can't get it to work, just pour ordinary liquid laundry bleach in the drain and let sit overnight. It will dissolve any hair and that is probably what is clogging a bathroom sink or tub for that matter.

If there is no water in the sink, the least expensive way is to put about 1/4 cup of baking soda into the drain. Then when it is there take about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar and pour it down. BUT, you have to be ready to put your hand over the drain and keep the pressure from coming up. It should ALL go down the drain. The pressure is enough to push a clog but not so much as to harm the pipes. And, practically free.

Go to the store and buy a drain opening salt (usually sodium hydroxide), and follow the instructions (pour into middle of sink, boil some water, take care that you wear goggles and gloves (or protect yourself from splatters as any contact with the stuff will badly burn your skin) and watch as your bathroom sink unclogs before your very own eyes). Wash with plenty plenty of water anything that has touched the chemical.
Note. Sodium Hydroxide is a component used in making soap, and it works by actually transforming fat into soap. If any comes in contact with your skin, you will find that your skin will feel slippery. Be careful, this is because the chemical is turning the fat in your skin (i.e. your skin) into soap! It will burn a hole in your skin if you are not careful.
And, btw. next time be more careful and try not to block your bathroom sink :)

The clog is more than likely in the "p" trap, that is the section where it turns back up. under the vanity there is a shut off valve, turn the valve off, turn on the water at this point to make sure the valve is actually in the off position. Using pliers etc, loosen the fitting and clean out the trap of any debris, reassemble and then turn the valve back to the on position, problem should be solved.

don't use liquid drain cleaner. they are scams.
undo the trap, clean that out.
take out the popup (if you still have one) and clean that out
.
Get a small hand crank rodder and feed it 3 feet or so into the pipe going into the wall.
When you crank it out, you should've snagged something like a hair ball.
put it back together and test, if it's still slow, call a plumber.

Pour coke down it. Let it sit overnight. Coke eats up everything. I promise it'll work.
