You are level 6 so I am going to assume that you are an intelligent individual. Do you think someone is going to come and rescue you from the chair in front of your computer? Get a job. Take some classes. Spend more time with your family instead of in front of a computer or TV. Yes, the whole world will let you wither away because you haven't taken the time to get to know anyone. Get out and make a life for yourself. The world is waiting for you -- go find it!

It feels like that sometimes but it's rarely the case. Even if none of your friends seem to contact you and none of your family seems to ask after you and no one seems to notice that you are in despair.

I think when someone is depressed time takes on a whole new meaning to them ie. time drags out. This emphasises the length of time it's been since someone last asked how you were which emphasises the feeling that no one cares about you.

That's why they say it's better to talk about your problems to someone rather than keep them all within yourself because, if you tell someone, they will try to help you and it will make you feel like someone does care about you after all.

We need to tell those close to us when we're withering, so they can help. Otherwise, their focus is on their lives, and they may not notice us fading away.

Only if you let them.
We all have to learn how to change the things we can and except the things we can't.
When we come across a situation that we have to except, instead of letting it get us down, we have to find a way to get something positive out of it.
Everyone finds a time in their life that they feel lonely, use for your good; really get to know yourself, learn to really enjoy your alone time.
