The three most important things we should teach the children of today would be this...
Love,
Love covers a multitude of sin!
Most of the youth today, and children have thier hearts set out on "revenge". Many people may say that it's hard to love someone who treats you bad. Yes, this is true. But no one ever says it's impossible! If we can teach the children today to love unconditionally many of the proublems that we have created in thier future would become obselte, because we've taught them how to deal with it in love.
Dare to Dream,
As a youth pastor I've come upon children, and youth, and some adults who have lost the dream, forgot the deam, or they've nerver dreamed. Dreams are stimulants to our will! If we first dream, we can accomplish. Many youth would be better off, if we would teach them to dream for themselves. And then show them the way to bring that dream alive! Dreams require components to building self esteem, careful planning, and exicution. They have to discover more for themselves because they are worth it, they have to learn how to conquer that plan for that dream, and they have to learn how to make every obsticle a rejoicing moment, because they are getting closer to that dreamed goal. This makes them a much more whole generation just by dreaming.
and finally.....
Maintaining thier wealth!
Youth today seem to spend four times the amount of money they actually save. That means they are three times more in debt than they can actually manage. This is due to bad money management. Giving them the knowledge of working the money, not the money working them! Many of us can test true to this statement,
"$50.00 can go a long way, in the hands of the wise!"
Why because they learn to invest!
These are the three things I think we should teach the children of today!

1. To have honesty and integrity.
2. To be kind and respectful to others.
3. To care about environmental issues, and love nature.

Learn tolerance of other people
Respect the people in your lives, because one day, if you lose contact with a few of them, they will be there to help you in the long run.
Never give up, because that is the only reason you will fail if you do not try.

1 Respect for others( opinions, lifestyles,and general)
2 Respect for the earth (waste not want not)
3 Respect for themselves. (Believe that you're worth the respect that you demand from others and treat yourself in the manner that you believe that you should be treated.)never assume that you deserve respect just for breathing. you have to earn it through your actions and the way you treat yourself.

1. How to discern reality from advertising/propoganda
2. Actions have consquences. Nothing comes without a cost: pros vs. cons
3. How to be assertive, not aggressive. How to be kind without being wimpy.
4. Basic education about how thingss we use everyday actually work: budgeting, credit cards, electricity, television, electronics, cars, insurance, ect. It's not magic, kids.
