Well since we live in a predominantly English speaking country it's just more convenient and useful. I am betting that if I grew up in France I would be speaking French.

So we can capitalize our initial letters and spell "your" correctly, therefore not sounding like a person I wouldn't pay attention to if I were to hire someone for a job or otherwise improve their lives.
