A few years ago, I created a double cd for a friend's 30th birthday of all the songs that meant something for her -- they played it at her wake last year and well... I've been kind of thinking about what my soundtrack would be like ever since. Thanks for all the answers -- some great songs listed.

General Stamey - Both Lou Reed and Hoku did songs called "Perfect Day", but I am guessing the one you are talking about is the one by Collective Soul. (All are different songs)

It would take too long (and become too long of a list) to make a soundtrack for my entire life (I'm 34). However, here are some songs that popped into my mind for my life at this moment. Like yourself, I draw from a lot of different musical genres. :)

"Breathe" - Anna Nalick
"Crash & Burn" - Savage Garden
"Desperado" - The Eagles
"Don't You (Forget About Me)" - Simple Minds
"Empty Seat Beside Me" - Chris Wall
"I Will Remember You" - Sarah McLachlan
"I'll Stand By You" - The Pretenders
"I Take My Chances" - Mary Chapin Carpenter
"Life in One Day" - Howard Jones
"Life's a Dance" - John Michael Montgomery
"Never Surrender" - Corey Hart
"Not That Different" - Collin Raye
"The Promise" - When in Rome
"The Rose" - Bette Midler
"Shake the Sugar Tree" - Pam Tillis
"Standing Outside the Fire" - Garth Brooks
"Take It Easy" - The Eagles
"That's The Way It Is" - Celine Dion
"They Don't Make Them Like That Anymore" - Boy Howdy
"Walk Away" - Kelly Clarkson
"We Belong" - Pat Benatar
"You May Be Right" - Billy Joel

Drops of Jupiter is a nice song...

Mine would start out with something happy.. hmm..

A Savage Garden song maybe.

Then it would get hectic... Maybe "To the Moon and Back" by SG.

Then it would be something like "Light" by Darren Hayes.

Then maybe.. "Animal" by Def Leppard...

Then "Take it Easy Chicken" by Mansun Started taking it easy more I guess you could say.

"So Beautiful" by Darren Hayes. Goes 'I have thrown myself at things I don't understand'

Lastly "The Chad Who Loved Me" by Mansun when I got confused. Which is where I am now, bouncing from the confident "So Beautiful" to the confused characters in the best album in the entire world entitled: Attack of the Grey Lantern
by the wonderful Mansun
